Hi, I am trying to bond 2 point to point T1's using a dual port VWIC (VWIC-2MFT-T1-D1).
I have added the channel-group statement to each T1 controller;
controller T1 0/1/0
framing esf
linecode b8zs
channel-group 0 timeslots 1-24
!
controller T1 0/1/1
framing esf
linecode b8zs
channel-group 0 timeslots 1-24
This creates the 2 virtual serial interfaces;
interface Serial0/1/0:0
no ip address
!
interface Serial0/1/1:0
no ip address
But there is not "multilink-group" command avaialble for these virtual serial interfaces which I can use to add them to a multilink interface.
Can you recommend a way to accomplich this?

What happens if you specify encapsulation ppp under each of the serial interfaces?

I've done that, encaps ppp is available as a command but it does not then enable multlink-group. So the virtual serial interfaces cannot be added to the mutlilink intetrface as far as I know.
I could just rely on express fowarding but I prefer linking the interfaces.

Without encapsulation ppp there is certainly no possibility of doing multilink. I am surprised that after configuring the encapsulation that the multilink command is not available. Can you capture the output and post it when you attempt to configure:
encapsulation ppp
ppp multilink
perhaps the message that you get will give us a clue as to what is wrong.

I see this is pretty late but...did you try this?
interface Serial0/1/0:0
encapsulation ppp
ppp multilink
ppp multilink group 0
interface Serial0/1/1:0
encapsulation ppp
ppp multilink
ppp multilink group 0
