Need help with CSM

Hello,

I have a brand new chassis with csm module it and i want to configure the csm using the gui, how can i launch the gui for csm?? i tried giving ip address to the switch and point to it from my pc through a browser after enable http server on the switch, but after authentication, i get page not found, do i need to do any thing more??

CSM only provides you CLI managemnet access.

The only option for a gui with the CSM is the CVDM.

Also with new ANM 1.2 its possible to operationally manage CSM.

I've tried the CVDM for the csm. It work only with a patch and the CVDM is eol since 2005. It was not useful to configure or administrate the csm. In my opinion it is a good choice to configure the csm via cli.

I want to launch the device manager embedded in the CSM for managing it, I have a brand new switch and a new csm module, what do i need to do? I created a layer 3 iterface on the switch and coul ping it, I then pointed my browser to it and enabled http server on the switch,but still i can not see device manager page, plea help..

The files you can download from the cisco homepage are replaced by patched files, i've got these files only by my request. You have to extract these files for example in your bootflash, enable at least 6 vty lines (better 10) and the http server. Further you specify the path to the files with ip http path bootflash: command, your client need the Java Plug-in 1.4.2_06.
