VPLS and H-VPLS

Hi

I have ME3750 as uPE and 7600 as nPE. Now I want to extend VPLS from ME3750 to two other ME3750s. The ME3750 is connected to 6724 in 7600.

Can I run H-VPLS between 3750 (extend EoMPLS to nearest nPE)and 7600 and run VPLS directly from 7600. Does 7600 support H-VPLS with 6724 as downlink module. I have ES20 as uplink module on 7600 connected to the core.

Thanks,

Prakash

Hi Prakash

I believe as long as you have sup-720 in the 7600, you can have the solution you described. See config below

3750

Vlan 100

interface fastEthernet x/y

switchport mode dot1q-tunnel ! H-VPLS

switchport access vlan

7600

l2 vfi ip vrf Manual

vpn id 100

neighbor < Other nPe 7600> Encapsulation Mpls

Vlan 100

Interface vlan 100

xconnect Vfi

Maamun

Thanks Maamun,

But I want to configure H-VPLS using AToM tunnel (EoMPLS) from ME 3750 to 7600..I want to configure ME3750 as L3 node.

Also is there any way to have EoMPLS redundancy on ME3750?

Regards,

Prakash

Hi Prakash

Please have a look at this link for L2VPN redundancy

Prakash Maamun,

The feature may not be supported on all devices. Do check the support for your to be deployed devices.

HTH-Cheers,

Swaroop

The ME3750 does not support...so there is no other way to provide EoMPLS redundancy :(
