VLANs over wireless

I know that Multiple VLANs on a segment need a trunk link to transfer traffic to another switch.

BUT, can I configure a switch connected to a wireless bridge to transfer VLAN tagged frames through the wireless bridge?

I would think that if the encapsulation sets up, then the frames will not be stripped of their VLAN tags on the other end.

Thoughts?

Hi

There is a way to configure VLANs to be transported across a wireless bridge.

You extend VLANs into a wireless LAN by adding IEEE 802.11Q tag awareness to the bridge. VLAN 802.1Q trunking is supported between root and non-root bridges through the bridges' primary SSID.

Please check the following link on CCO on how to achieve this on 1400 series bridges.

Thanks for the input.

Is there anything other than the 1400 series bridges that I could use to accomplish this?

Thanks
