Sure it can, MPLS is simply your WAN transport. It does introduce a little bit overhead and thus delay versus other layer 2 transports such as point-to-point or frame relay. MPLS has become the most widely adopted WAN technology becuse of it's "full mesh" topology and SLA guarantees, which allows you to contract certain amount of bandwidth for real time traffic such as voice and guarantee certain delay, packet loss, jitter, etc.

If you are planning on having remote locations with phones connected to your data center over MPLS make sure that the round trip delay does not exceed 150 ms (G.114 standard).

Good luck, HTH,

Chris

Hi Chris! Thanks for your responce.... We have a Cisco 3725 router located in our central office. Can I use this one for VoIP? Can you suggest hardwares that is needed for VoIP using MPLS? tnx again! God Bless!

Sure you can use it, as to the hardware it depends on your MPLS handoff. If it's a T1 then either VWIC card or DSU card is OK, if it's DS3 then a T3 card will be needed. Work with your MPLS service provider to get the right equipement.
