i have a question, i'm using call manager 4.2. and i was wondering if there is anyway i can connect my 7960 ip phone from home without a VPN connection.. i know its not secure, but i just want to test this. i know im going to have to open a few ports on the firewall.. but thats my question im not sure which ports to open, and how to configure call manager so the phone can connect automatically. thank you for all your help.
make sure that that there is no NAT and that the pix is open for the RTP and cotnrol traffic packages.TCP: 1024-4999, 1720, 2000-2002, 11000=>65535. UDP: 1718=>1720, 1967, 11720, 16384=>32767. This is not a recommended method to deploy
