Vpn client (Win XP Pro with all Service Packs and updates) 4.8.00.0440 gets an IP address from VPN router 3005. I see in monitoring that IP is assigned to client. But client cannot ping anything on our network. Just got report that Vista using 5.0.00.0340 client is acting the same way. We have about 12 people using VPN, but three people are reporting this problem.

Hi,

are you using NAT-T or ipsec-over-tcp?

Thanks

John

Hi John,

I'm having a similar issue with Vista, v5.0. I can ping resources by name but not get authenticated. I can connect to VPN fine with domain credentials, but when trying to authenticate to say, a file server, it says "unsuccesful, already tried username/password". . We are using IPSec over UDP (NAT/PAT) AND IPSec over NAT-T.

Appreciate any help!
