There are five required exams for CCSP certification:

642-503 SNRS (Securing Networks with Cisco Routers and Switches )

642-523 or 642-522 (last day to test 10/13/07) SNPA (Securing Networks with PIX and ASA)

642-533 or 642-532 (last day to test 1/16/08) IPS (Implementing Cisco Intrusion Prevention Systems)

642-552 SND (Securing Cisco Network Devices)

642-511 CSVPN (Cisco Secure Virtual Private Networks - last day to test 2/1/08) OR 642-513 HIPS (Securing Hosts using Cisco Security Agent) OR 642-591 CANAC (Implementing Cisco NAC Appliance) OR 642-544 MARS (Implementing Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis and Response System)

i looked at the ccsp page and what brad mentioned and they looked to be the same. a couple of the tests are being retired, however. i know there's a firewall specialist cert but that wasn't what i was looking at.

To be precise, the cisco press books are related to the old exams.

Like in CCNA (640-801 to 802), there has been an update on the exams.

So while older CCNA books give you 85% help with the new exam, they miss new topics that made it into the curriculum.

The same may apply to the CCSP, so don't be surprised if you're not perfectly prepared by the older versions.

As long as there is no updated version, you still can get most of the topics by using these books, but you should constantly monitor the delta to the new tests.
