Copper cable to connect sup engine

Hi,

We have to connect the sup engine of two 4503 switch for link between two switches.We are using the gigabit interfaces of supengines. Which copper cable is required to connect these two swicthes? is it a straight cable or cross cable ?

A cross will always work between 2 switches.

Hi,

I am using two 4503 chasis based switch with sup engine. on sup engine i am having 12 gi ports and 8 sfp ports.

when i am connecting my 4503 to 2950 switches, i am using straight cable and link is coming up.

but when i am connecting 4503 to other 4503 with straight cable link is not coming up.

Do we need a cross cable for conencting two 4503 switch?
