Howdy all. What exactly is the different between the former 801 exam and the newer 802? Does 802 simply have an added section for wlan, ipv6 and security or is it something more?

cheers, j

I have this problem too.

I've gotten feedback that says it's a different beast. A lot less focus on IP addressing and subnet masking, and more of a focus on real networking and networking technologies. You could possible have to configure a routing protocol or two in the similator as well. (I think on the 640-801, the simulator only had you configure an ip address/subnet mask, no shut an interface, more basic items - although i could be mistaken). IPV6 isn't a big part of the new test. However WLAN and security topics could be there in the form of a few questions. :)
