Hi,

I have 2 IDS 4235 appliances running 5.0.1 version of ios.Since i have only two default interfaces, i have planned to keep it in promiscous mode itself with gig0/0 as sensor port and gig 0/1 as command and control interface.The sensor interface is not at all coming up when connected in the network.The same is the status even when i checked in the second 4235 IDS appliance.Where could be the problem.Do i have any cable specification for sensor interface.Neither is the interface comming up when checked with a cross cable connected to the laptop, nor is it coming up when connected with a straight cable in the network switch.Please provide me some suggestions on whats happening.I have as well attached the config and tech support.
