Hi there,
we want DFM to use as Trap-Forwarder to an other NMS-Application.
For that I configured following in trapd.conf-file
CSCOpx\objects\smarts\conf\trapd.conf
FORWARD: *.*.*.* .* * * trapreceiver:162
Unfortunately CW2000-DFM does not forward any traps to trapreceiver.
With sniffering we discoverd that traps will be sent to DFM on port 162.
Does anybody know how to further troubleshoot this problem?
Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Lothar

I recommend not to edit trapd.conf directly, instead go to
Device Fault Manager - Configuration - Other Configurations - SNMP Trap Forwarding
there you can add trap receivers and their according ports, also the trap forwarding process is restarted automatically if you click apply.
- I think your problem was that the process was not restarted

Hi,
what I discovered was that another process EDS-TR connected to UDP:162 port on server, with stopping it and activating SNMP Trap Forwarding process sm_server connects to trap-port.
