Hi, We will change our ISP next month, therefore we will need to change IP address of our IronPort C100. Except for change IP interface definition in IronPort do I need something else ? Is IronPort license related to IP address ?
I'd recommend you check for any content or message filters and ensure you haven't hardcoded an IP address in there anywhere. (Maybe just export the xml config and search for the ip address to find any references). And don't forget any DNS entries that will have the changing IP address configured.
The IronPort license is linked to the serial number of the appliance, not the IP address.
None of the product is licenced based on IP address - so any changes on the ip address only impact the network side of things. Licencing is based on number of users using the various components anti-spam, anti-virus, VOF, encryption.
