ISDN: error bri

hello all,

2801 --- ISDN --- 2801(remote)

Remote line has 2 numbers for 128k: xxxx6 and xxxx7

when I test the first number it's ok with

isdn test call int bri0/2/0 xxxx6

But when I test with the second number,

I receive the call but I have this errror in the debug isdn q931

Cause i = 0x82D1 - Invalid call reference value

What means: that the remote equipment receives a call with a call reference that

is not currently in use on the user-network interface.

What is this problem??? Configuration or Telco?

Thank a lot

Hi

Telco is most likely. Try:

isdn test call interface speed 56

...and if it works ask your Telco why you can connect at 56k but not 64k.

Thank you for your answer but I have the same error..

I will try with the telco but there are not very opem minded...

Hi,

can you send the complete debug trace for the failed call ?

Also, which exact BRI HW and IOS are you using ?

Check with Telco to see what the provisioning is for both B channels.

The typical values are:

CSV : Circuit-Switched Voice (voice only)

CSD : Circuit-Switched Data (data only)

CSVD: Circuit-Switches Voice / Data (handles both)

Also, verify the ISDN switch-type (ask the provider what they're using).

Good Luck

Scott

Thanks all for your Help.

The problem was misconfiguration with isdn SPID xxxxxx yyyy

The yyyy was not configure. Strange because spid1 was configure exactly as spid2 and first number was working..

Now incoming call with 128k is good, but outgoing call is not working.

I have this error:

Cause i = 0x8281 - Unallocated/unassigned number

Signal i = 0x03 - Network congestion tone on

there is the configuration:

interface BRI0/2/0

no ip address

encapsulation ppp

dialer pool-member 1

isdn switch-type basic-dms100

isdn point-to-point-setup

isdn spid1 xxxxxxxx00 xxxxxx

isdn spid2 xxxxxxxx00 xxxxxx

isdn fast-rollover-delay 5

isdn timeout-signaling

ppp authentication chap

ppp multilink

interface Dialer1

ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0

encapsulation ppp

dialer pool 1

dialer caller 0041xxxxxxxxx dialer load-threshold 3 either

dialer-group 1

ppp authentication chap

ppp chap hostname xxx

ppp multilink

ppp multilink links minimum 2

ppp chap password 7 xxx

If you have some information ..

What's strange is in the debug q931:

Called Party Number i = 0xA1, '0041xxxxxxxx'

Plan:ISDN, Type:National

Is it TELCO problem here because I'm tring international number and typw is National?

Thank you

I found the problem...

Thank you all.

In bahamas, you need to put :

011 + Country Code + City (if applicable) + Local number
