Catalyst switch 2950 XL LRE

Hi dear,

I have some Catalyst switch 2950 XL LRE

, but right now cisco discontinued to product that switch, any similiar cisco switch like that or do you know another switch type for replacement Catalyst switch 2950 XL LRE?

AFAIK the Catalyst 2960 took over from the 2950 as the entry level offering from Cisco.

I see Catalyst 2960 doesn't support LRE

(Long Reach Ethernet) am i right ?

Do you know another type or anoher brand?

Nope they got rid of LRE basically DSL after the 2950 series . Don't know of anyone else that has something like that but it may be out there , i guess google is your best bet on this one .

Edgar, the 2960 replaces this model, please check Table 2 link bellow for upgrade path information.

Cisco Catalyst 2950 LRE has been discontinued, but you can contact cisco to buy the refurbished.

I already have 7 cisco catalyst switches 2950 XL LRE and our customer happy to used it, and we need more and more.

Can you help me to find the refurbished LRE switch?

Edgar, you can try http://www.dexon.com/ , they do carry refurbish 2950 switches , you should be able to find it ther or ask them for the LREs and they will find it.. I buy from them, very reliable with non-smartnet warranty.
