All vlans automatically removed

Our stacked 3750 switch automatically shows all ports as amper color. When checked found that there is no vlan.dat file in flash. When created the vlan again everything worked well. Without any reason this happened automatically. If somebody removed the vlan.dat but it will effect only after rebooting. Is there any bug like this?

How do you have VTP configured?

Pls proivide a sh vtp status.

Its possible for another switch to have done this due to misconfigured VTP.

HI Abilash,

Possible reasons are:

If somebody by Mistake could have tried to connect a Switch with High Priority than the Current Stack.

This will impact the Live Environment and will de-activate the vlan.dat file in the Stack setup.

Unless and Until the Stack is rebooted / the new Swtich is removed with High Priority.
