error w/ NM-CE-BP-80G-K9

hello,

I'm trying to configure a NM-CE-BP-80G-K9 and when I try to assign an external ip to it, it gives me the error below. I have previously done a password recovery, then a write erase to clear the config, then a reload on the module. The module accepted the command before the write erase, but not after. I'm hoping it's something small i'm missing. Thanks for any help you can give.

Router(config-if)#service-module external ip address 10.0.0.2

255.255.255.252

Router(config-if)#

*Mar 1 01:50:47.084: %SERVICEMODULE-2-IPCONFIGFAILED: Service module

Content-Engine1/0 IP configuration (external) failed

I have this problem too.

I believe this was posted to the wrong forum.

The NM-CE-BP-80G-K9 is a "Cisco Content Engine network module, basic performance,

80-GB IDE hard disk" for a Cisco Access Router.

This is the Storage Networking forum. Your

question might be better answered in a different forum. Sorry, I don't know which one would be best for this question.
