sir,I hav designed a Ring topology using 15 CE switches( capable of video and voice data transmission ) via single mode optical fibre,Now am not getting the idea of STP configuration.\

1>Do i need to configure STP on EVERY SINGLE SWitch?

2>Is there any need to take a BackBone Switch?

1. Yes STP should be configured on every switch

2. Maybe/Depends

I would suggest getting a contractor in to help with this. STP is something that's pretty easy to configure, but pretty easy to mess up as well. In the long run, it will be money well spent.
