QoS Policy for LWAPP Control Traffic

We have an issue in which our LWAPP AP's (1242's) at a remote site appear to lose connection to the controller at the main site temporarily during very high bandwidth spikes. There is a T1 connection (1.5Mb) between the sites.

I need suggestions on how to protect the UDP traffic between AP's and controllers... perhaps an access list that matches all UDP traffic to 12222? What would you recommend for a policy-map?

Thank you.

You need both UDP/12222 and UDP/12223, and reserve a bit of bandwidth for that traffic.

You may also consider reconfiguring that AP in H-REAP mode.
