Hi,
i've configured class-based traffic shaping to limit the outgoing traffic to 200Mbit. Now i get an output from the command "show queue gigabitEthernet 0/1" that gives me an available bandwidth of only 150Mbit, what does that mean?

The "available bandwidth" under the command sh queue giga0/1 shows the 75% of the total bandwidth, which is available after allocating
25% to default queue. In this case 200Mbps is bandwidh of interface, after asigning 25% to default class, the available bandwidth for all other queue is 150Mbps.

By default you can use only 75% of the BW configured on interface for traffic, rest 25% is reserved for internal processes.
You may change this value by "max-reserved-bandwidth xx" on interface. Where xx is the value you want to use for traffic. Pls note that it is recommended to keep certain BW reserved for internal proceses, so dont use 100%.
pls rate if helped.

HI, [Do Rate all HELPFUL POSTS]
While using the max Reserved Bandwidth Feature in the Configuration:
QOS by default reserves 25% of Bandwidth for Internal Processes of CISCO Router.
