Problem Configuring IOS SLB on 7206

I am configuring IOS server load balancing and for that purpose I use an 7206 that is currently on my network but is very quiate device (recently a lot of connections have been migrated off that router). Because 7206 is not ajdjucent to servers I need to use NAT. Servers are running http over port 52100.

Here is the config:

ip slb serverfarm FARM1

nat server

ip slb vserver Server1

virtual tcp 52100

serverfarm FARM1

This does not work, and I now have few questions:

1) Does device where SLB is running needs to be on the network path between clients and servers in the farm?

2) Does virtual address needs to belong to:

a) network subnet where servers belong to

b) network subnet that at least one interface of SLB router belong to

c) need to be address that belongs to network subnet currently not being used on network but can be routed on network (with EIGRP for example)

With the configuration above I can ping virtual IP address from anywhere on the network, but clients can not access service using virtual address (can with real addresses). However, from router running SLB, I can telnet to virtual address on port 52100 and pull the web page, but not from anywhere else on network.

Any help is appreciated.
