Retired CCNA

Unanswered Question

I thought I received an E-Mail from Cisco awhile ago stating that if you had failed the CCNA before it retired you could continue to take the old CCNA(640-801)up to a year after it was retired. Anyone recieve that same E-Mail?

I have this problem too.

no I haven't gotten that email and I failed the ICND test 11/5. That test was really hard with the 60 minute time limit. I was panicking.

I doubt there ever was any such email since the 604-801 exam is now retired.

The only grandfather clause is if you had passed the old 640-821 INTRO exam within the past 3 years. Since it's still valid, you can just take the new 640-812 ICND2 exam to complete the CCNA (before your INTRO exam expires).

Take the new 640-802 composite CCNA exam or the 604-822/640-816 ICND1/ICND2 track.

Ok guys I found out how to take the old 640-801. If you are an alumni of the CCNA academy you can contact Cisco and they will give you a promo code to give to Pearson that allows you to take the 801!
