xmodem connection very slow

Hello.

I have a cisco 876;

I'trying to put a file via xmodem, but it takes about 5 minutes on putting a 6KB file.

I configure the xmodem connection to 9600 b.

it is very slow, so anyone knows if I have to change any configuration of the port.

please try out the following procedure and let me know the results:

turn down the router and take it to rommon mode

rommon1>confreg 0x3920

rommon2>reload

change the speed of the console to 115200 keeping the other settings and start the connection again.

rommon1>xmodem -cr c8xx-xxxx-mz.124-x.bin

It will speed up the transfer rate, probably it will take about 30 minutes for a 12 Mb file,
