CW - Startup and Running Out-Of-Sync Summary

Need some help understanding this, techies...

I can see how the Running config could have a newer date than the Startup... just forget to wr mem, and the Startup falls behind.

But how is it possible to have an older Running than Startup config? That defies logic (to me, anyway).

It is possible to copy a configuration directly into startup. This can be done from the CLI, or via SNMP.
