Change on-hook softkey template of 7911G: remove messages button

Hello,

Apparantly, we cannot change the softkey template of a 7911G and CallManager 4.2.

We would like to remove the â€œmessagesâ€ button, as we do not have a voice-mail system.

Any ideas why this does not work ? Did anyone tried this in the past ?

(When I look on the â€œsoftkey layout configurationâ€, I can only see Redial / Newcall / Forward All, but in reality, there is a â€œMessagesâ€ button also)

This is an often asked question. Unfortunately, there is no way to remove the softbutton.

I believe what you want to achieve has been covered in this previous thread. You might need to create a new softkey template that excludes the message button..
