This new cisco feature is very handy when it comes to segmenting the traffic at the spokes using VRFs without multipling the tunnels. The only problem is that there not enough documentation on its use. I have tried different scenarios and it looks like it only works in DMVPN phase 2 mode: the two test spoke sites will have each others routes with the real next hops (not the next hop of the hub) and the dynamic tunnel will be established with support for both test VRFs in it.
I soon as the test config is switched to phase 3 (nhrp shortcut and nhrp redirect) and the BGP on the HUB is modified to advertise the spoke routes with the next hop of the HUB the spoke-to-spoke tunnel will no longer come up and all the traffic between the spokes goes via HUB.
Does anyone have an experience with this feature or maybe has already implemented it?
