rommon recovery on a 2948G

I have a 2948G with bootstrap version 12.0(7)W5(15a). It boots to the rommon prompt, dir shows no bin file in bootflash:

I'm connected to theconsole port and am trying to use xmodem transfer, the transfer fails after what looks like downloading 1 packet. the error after returning to the prompt is "File not a valid executable". I've tried downloading the file several times and don't think the file is corrupted. Anyother reason for this error. The image I'm trying to load is c2940-i6k2l2q4-mz.121-22.EA10b.bin

Why are you trying to load a 2940 image into a 2948G-L3 .Am 2940 is a little 8 port IOS l2 switch. I am assuming it is a L3 , if not then it is a catos l2 box which you cannot load IOS . Looks like the last version for the L3 is cat2948g-in-mz.120-25.W5.27d.bin

That's what came up while clicking through the find the software tree. The folder said 2940 family switches, 2948 should fit in that catagory. Oh well.

Anyway I did a search on the file name you provided and downloaded it, it's loading onto the switch as I write.
