g.shdsl module not detected

i am using a 3845 integrated services router and i am trying to install 4-port G.shdsl with 8-wire support(HWIC-4SHDSL )but it is not detected by the router.the ios version i tried on is 12.4(16).can u help me on that?thanks

which IOS feature set are you using?

the ios feature set is :

3845 Bund. w/AIM-VPN/SSL-3,Adv. IP Serv,25 SSL lic,128F/512D (CISCO3845-HSEC/K9)

For your additional info here is the error msg reported in hyperterminal.

%GT96K_FEWAN-1-UNKNOWN_WIC: NM slot 0, wic card has an unknown id 50F

I have found that:

Error Message

%GT96K_FEWAN-1-UNKNOWN_WIC : NM slot [dec], wic card has an unknown id [hex]

Explanation The software does not recognize the type of WIC that is plugged into the port module.

Recommended Action Check the part number on the WIC to verify that it is supported in the CiscoIOS release that is operating on the router. Copy the error message exactly as it appears on the console

do you have the chance to test another IOS? ... i have no access to the feature navigator under the day ... maybe i can give you more informations in the evening ...
