ATM in current CCIE R&S lab?

Unanswered Question

Hello All!

I just passed the CCIE R&S written exam, and I am preparing now for the lab exam.

In the labs blueprint it no mentioning of ATM.

My question is, does that mean ATM is not a relevant WAN technology for the R&S lab exam?

I have this problem too.

I'm no CCIE, but I think ATM is cell based, and if that is true then I would think that would be used for SONET, and isn't the "OC" technologies the next big thing in speed? If so I would say that ATM is essential, but wait for a real CCIE to chime in to tell you I'm wrong:) congrats on the written!!!

ATM is not on the blueprint, so I wouldn't study it. Plus, the vendor workbook I used for my preparation was up-to-date, and it had no ATM on it.
