VTP

Hi guys, just looking at switching for my CCNA exam....is it critical that VTP is set up on a single switch before any VLANs are created on it? ie, if an entity starts with one switch, does not create VTP settings on that switch, then adds more switches as the network grows....is it too late to start looking at a VTP master, do all switches have to be reconfigured from scratch?

I have this problem too.

No just leave switch in transperent mode, you can then choose which switch will be server , client etc later, unless all switchs are in smae vtp domain they don't share info....I know of some networks where all switches are transparent, VTP aids mangement but if you make a mistake it affects your entire network.
