Hey guys,

Just wondering about where an IP phone picks up its DNS servers from.. I would think it gets this from the Call Manager during the TFTP and registration stage when you first plug the phone onto the network.. However, we cant seem to find this DNS information on the Call Manager server anywhere..

Am I looking in the right place ??

Look at your dhcp options. Could be on the switch, router or you have a DHCP server configured for your voice vlans. Options under those configurations will give you your name servers.
