Firstly you need to set local username & password on all devices.
username XXXX password xxx
Then you'll have to enable telnet for access from remote by command:
line vty 0 4
login
if you have acs then you may set your devices to be authenticated by aaa.

Thanks. If my switch is behind a router. I have no problem accessing the router through the WAN IP configured.
Question is how do i access the switch. What IP should I telnet to and from where ?
Please help. Thanks

With the Vlan management IP. You must be having 1 management Ip on the switches by which you telnet & manage the switches.
Hope that clarifies.
