vlan trunk/bridge between sites using DS3

List:

Two sites

Cisco 3845 router at each end with Serial T3 module (NM-1T3/E3)

DS3 circuit between sites

Requirements:

Bridge Vlans, same subnet

Trunk over DS3

Site 1 DNS,DHCP,AAA - Site 2 extended network of Site 1

Please advise for documentation/config example to configure the DS3/T3 Cisco 3845's for Vlan Trunk and Bridging these sites.

Hi,

first of all, as you might know already, bridging is strongly reccomended against, for WAN design.

This said, if it is an absolute necessity for you, configure the circuit as frame relay (one side must be DCE). Then create subinterface with DLCI number of your liking. Place these in brdige-group matching the corresponding bridge group on a LAN interface or subinterface.
