Hi Guys,
Any tricks to getting CUOM to see Unity properly?
Basically I have CUOM 2.0.1 and the Unity servers show as "Monitored" but CUOM does not actually group them as Unity servers therefore it doesnt let me do MWI synthetic tests on them.
However in the Service Level view, they look like unity servers! :)
I believe our windows management acct and SNMP is ok.. as the server shows monitored and no alarms. It also occasionally detects service down or failover / restart events.. so it looks like it can see WMI.
Cheers,
Tim

Do you have the Unity RSK installed?

Hi,
Another quick question.. RSK install says EMS is required to get the most benefit..
If we are using CUOM, do we need to install EMS as well?
Cheers,

Tim,
Yes install/configure SNMP,EMS and RSK (for the CDP mib to be enabled). Rediscover the Unity server in CUOM 2.0.1 and it should go to fully monitored.
