maximum 32 AP count in 12.3(8)JEC in 12.3(8)JA there's no restriction

Hi,

We've sites with 60 ap's and one ap is the wds-ap, when we've running ios 12.3(8)JA witch our ap1200's we've got for instance:

#sh wlccp wds

.....

AP Count: 59 , MN Count: 235

when we're running ios 12.3(8)JEC we're getting an AP count of 32 en the rest get the message in the log "%LEAPCL-3-TIMEOUT: AP Timed out authenticating to the WDS".

Is this made on purpose ??

We encountered the same issue when we upgraded our APs from 12.3(8)JA to 12.8(8)JEC. The solution to the problem was to configure the WDS AP with the following:

wlccp wds mode wds-only

Anyway, if you have not resolved the issue please try above command. Thanks Jojo.

Ok,

Thanks for the reply, we've solved the problem by a change to 12.3(8)JEA3.

In that version there's a maximum of 60.

Strange that there's no documentation written about this by cisco.
