Frame Relay

Hi,

How frame relay router gets clocking.clock rate or csu/dsu?.

Hi,

Please note that clocking is a OSI layer 1 feature, whereas Frame-Relay is OSI layer2. As such clocking has nothing to do with FR, but with the interface type.

On a serial interface you have different options: you can either use the line as source or the internal clock of the router. Actually you should talk to your provider, which option would be prefered. In most cases you should use the line, which is the default on Serial interfaces, so no configuration needed. On some interfaces or controllers you have the option to specify "clock source [line|internal]".
