Hi,
does anyone of you know if you can use a Cisco 7200 as a BRAS? We were told it is possible, but I am not able to find an IOS image with PPPoE support.
Any pointers are welcome.
TIA

Hi
I have used 3 years ago, it does the job....I cannot recall the exact IOS version. I guess if I did I would be labeled a nerd.
try features/IOS selector to find what u need.
Things to watch out for with 7200...it does not cope very well with VoIP small packets.
sorry I don't have much more to say

uh, sorry.
I mistyped, I am looking for BRAS support in the Cisco 7600, not 7200.
My bad. The 7200 is commonly used as a BRAS, so IOS support is easy to find.
But the 7600 is another story entirely.
So, can the 7600 be a BRAS?
TIA

As far sa I know, you can get ISG
(http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6566/products_configuration_guide_book09186a008061ab53.html)
features on 7600 platform but only for IP sessions, not for PPP.
These functions should be available on on SIP-400.

Thanks for the tip, but ISG does not support 7600.
As for the SIP-400, it does not support PPPoE.
It seems the only option is to use the MWAM card.
thanks for your tip.
