site-site VPN with cisco877-k9

Have purchased (perhaps in error) a cisco877-k9 with IOS version c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T1.bin

am advised that it has memory upgraded -

Cisco 877 (MPC8272) processor (revision 0x300) with 118784K/12288K bytes of memo

ry. - but not yet have IOS upgrade.

is the above IOS version sufficient to provide a single site-to-site VPN tunnel to an 5510ASA-K9 ? all traffic from cisco877 will be routed into the tunnel.

or do I need IOS with advance security such as c870-advsecurityk9-mz.124-4.T7.bin

I have been told that I really needed cisco877-sec-k9 to support the above.

Can you confirm ? need to commission the solution start of week monday 11 Dec with no time to source another router.

The IOS image c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T1.bin does supports site to site vpn, however if you will be using the router primarily for vpn purposes it would be better to use image c870-advsecurityk9-mz.124-4.T7.bin.
