CCNA recertification

Answered Question
Dec 10th, 2007

Regarding my test history below,

===========history====================

2007. 11. 23 Expiration Notification Certification in CCNA will expire on Feb 20 2008 2:57PM.

--------------------------------------

2005. 2. 20 Exam (642-801) BSCI - Passed

--------------------------------------

2005. 2. 20 Certification Events Recertified in CCNA

--------------------------------------

2002. 2. 28 Certification Events Certified in CCNA

--------------------------------------

How can I recertify CCNA?

1) pass any 642-xxx exam(i.e. 642-812, BCMSN)?

2) complete next level certification(i.e. CCNP)?

regards,

Sam

I know that.

I already recertified once with BSCI exam.

I'm trying to BCMSN(642-812)exam next month.

My actual question is,,

Is this exam could recertify ccna again?

So this doesn't apply if you let your CCNA expire? I'm guessing that's the case and I'll have to take CCNA again in order to be certified CCNP.

Thanks

Hi John,

Yes, you are correct. You cannot recertify an expired certification.

However, if you have active CCNA certification. Cisco provides you multiple options to recertify it by taking any of the following;

Current CCNA or ICND2 < If you want to stay with CCNA

Any current 642-xxx < If you are planning for any Professional Certifications

Any current CCIE-Written < If you are planning for any Expert Cetifications

Dandy
