I am reposting this question. There are a couple of typos in previous one.

I have a 2500 router. It freezes after it starts/reboots every time. I can't even get into its ROMMON, it won't respond to the key. I copied the message here. Thanks in advance.

Couple of things to check. First, try re-seating the DRAM and flash modules.

Secondly, I presume you have tested your console terminal on another router. That is, I presume you terminal is working correctly.

Also, if your terminal is a laptop, try using a desktop PC instead. The voltages used by laptops on the serial port are sometimes not enough for reliable communication. The 2500 series seems to be particularly sensitive to incorrected levels on the serial line.

Change the flow control from hardware to software or vice versa. That seems to fix this issue. It's different serial chipsets on motherboards that causes this problem with older 2500s.
