We're implementing an ACS SE 1113 appliance running ACS version 4.1. We're a little confused over the CISCO workstation object and whether its actually needed.

If it is needed, then does the Remote Agent reference the object via the LDAP name or via the NetBIOS name? We need to know as there is aleady a CISCO workstation object used for Cisco Unified Messaging.

Yes, the Cisco workstation object is needed for such a setup. The remote Agent references the object via the LDAP name.
