We have a Call Manager environment, running CM 4.1, Cisco switches, routers etc.
A new user wants to know (For medical reasons) if they will experience any high pitched squeaks or squeals on the telephone under our Call Manager system, as they have had problems with this on PSTN and PABX systems.
Is there any reason why this might not be a problem under a Call Manager VoIP system? (ie. Is there any built in, default protection against this within either the routers, switches, IP phones themselves [7960's] or even Call Manager?)
If not, they want to purchase a SoundShield product from Polaris, but I was thinking it might not be necessary, as our VoIP system might not suffer from this problem in the first place...
Any replies or comments are appreciated.
Thanks,
David
