Adding Secondary PRP to Cisco 12008

Forum.

I will be adding a secondary PRP card to a Cisco 12008. The 2nd PRP is from another router. Is it as simple as installing it into slot5, and thats it? I am afraid that the 2nd PRP will still have the old config from the router it originally was in. Can anyone confirm this? Or will the router ignore the config from the 2nd PRP card.

PRP-2 inclusion in a 12008 is not impacted by old configuration. This should not be a problem. The following URL will help you:
