Pesky 1240 won't report it's IP address...

Installed new 1240 to replace a bad one that got zapped by lightning. Tried to use the IPSUtility to get it's IP, but it only pukes "Device does not answer" at me. I have checked to make sure that no L3 devices are between me and the AP, to no avail. I have all green status lights.

What else can I do to trouble shoot this? I don't have the adapter cable to do a local connection to the AP, and I am wondering if there is anything else I can do?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
