IOS on WS-C3550-48-SMI

Hello everyone,

I have a question about the OS for this particular switch ( WS-C3550-48-SMI). I'm looking to download the latest version of software that also has the capability of security via ssh. Does the IP Base version provide this? How about the IP services? Can someone let me know the difference between the 2?

On another note I'm going to download the latest for the WS-C3524-XL-EN which I believe to be c3500xl-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC17. Does this OS provide any security for the switch?

Thank you for your help.

I have this problem too.

You need to have a image that supports cryptographic feature set. You can use 12.2.25-SEE3 (ED) which is C3550 SMI IOS CRYPTO IMAGE , 12.2.25-SEE4 (ED) C3550 SMI IOS CRYPTO AND WEB BASED DEVICE MANAGER .

For the 3550 the imagename will have a K9 in the name . The old 3524's do not support SSH .
