5.1(3) - Critical Error during Install

I was told that CallManager's 5.x and 6.x do a check on hardware during install, and if the results don't match EXACTLY what cisco has as a recommended set the installation aborts. Is this true?

I'm attempting to install 5.1(3) on a vmware server. 35GB drive and 1.5GB of RAM. Half way through the install it halts with a Critical Error, obviously unrecoverable as I have to start from scratch. This isn't a production environment, just a demo before we upgrade from 4.1(3).

Also, where's the PAK keys now? I'm going to need to license this software once we get it on approved hardware, but the UPG/Install kit of 5.1(3) I ordered doesn't have a PAK key on it. Where they putting these things now?
