Hello,

Anyone know what this flash card is used for? Does it hold the nvram as opposed to other boxes (2500, 2600) where its built in to the system?

Thanks

Hi

The flash card is used to hold copy of the IOS/startup config etc. Yes it is built in on some of the older models.

Hi, thanks for the response.

When you state it leaves a copy, do you mean a duplicate of the iso and config or does it store the actual ios/config? meaning that the device is useless without the card...?

Yes, you need the card because this is the only flash.
