IPCC 3.5.2 Email subsystem not working

Unanswered Question


I am trying to provision the Email subsystem to enable emailing to users. The overall goal is to extract email address from a database and use this as the send to address.

I have provisioned the Email Subsystem with the fully qualified mail server and then my e-mail address.

However at this time I cannot send to the admin account. I continually get this error

Could not connect to SMTP host

This host is the same host I use for my own e-mail and the e-mail address is actually my e-mail address.

Anyone have any ideas on what I may have missed.

You can configure Trace Files for capturing errors during subsystem initialization. Take a look at this troubleshooting document..


Also, the default error logs you want to look at are the MIVR logs.

Have you tried telnetting to your email server ( I am assuming port 25 on exchange ) from the IPCCX server?


Try that first... it may be networking issue...
