Solved: IOS Features Understanding

Hi Experts,

I am trying to understand currently on this IOS..My customer has c3660-jk9s-mz.122-29.bin but I would like to make sure that this is IPSEC Supported.. with crypto commands that I can configure.

From the Cisco Navigator Tool, I got this 3 features..

IPSec Network Security

IPSec Triple DES Encryption (3DES)

IPSec Policy Agent II

Do this router has crypto command as I need to let customer knows about this before going for that router.

On the other hand, I have another IOS with ONLY IPSec Policy Agent II , Does this only feature support crypto command?

The IOS is c3660-js-mz.122-28a.bin.

Yes, c3660-jk9s-mz.122-29.bin supports crypto commands.

No, c3660-js-mz.122-28a.bin does not support any crypto command.

Hi,

Maybe this link can provide the feature of IOS packaging for 3660 http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps274/prod_bulletin09186a0080161089.html which tells

c3660-jk9s-mz.122-29.bin is ENTERPRISE PLUS IPSEC 3DES (definitely with Crypto)

c3660-js-mz.122-28a.bin is ENTERPRISE PLUS (definitely no Crypto)

Hi Narayana,

Actually tat was the link I checked and got those features but I need to know if IPSEC Policy Agents II will have crypto map commands supported in that particular router..
