Voice Recording Setup

I am trying to setup a voice recording system.

Anyways, I have 6 buildings all connected by Fiber. From the fiber we go to a 3560 and each building also has a 2801 with a couple of POTS for failover services.

So I am thinking if I span VLAN 5 (where the phones are) would I then get ALL phones? Or does SPAN (or monitor session) sort of limit itself to one switch?

Any help would be great.

Hi,

Span is local to 1 switch. What you need to use is rspan. You need to configure a dedicated vlan for rpsan and add this vlan to the allowed vlans on the trunk back to your main building where your recorder server will be.
